Hon.Mary Mbithe Mulinge:The Bold voice Kitui Women deserves in 2027!

In the ever-evolving political landscape of Kitui County, a fresh and fearless voice is emerging Hon. Mary Mbithe Mulinge, the Wiper Party’s vibrant and unwavering nominated MCA for Kanyangi Ward. With a firm grip on grassroots issues, an unshakable moral compass, and genuine empathy for her constituents, Mbithe is quickly becoming the people’s favorite and the most promising contender for the Women Representative seat come 2027.
What sets Hon. Mbithe apart is not just her political savvy, but her heart. A viral moment that touched thousands across the country showed her sitting on the street with a destitute man in Kitui town, sharing a simple meal. She didn’t stop there she bought him clothes and promised to ensure he would eat daily moving forward. That act wasn’t for the cameras it was raw humanity in action. It revealed the character of a leader who understands that change begins with kindness, one act at a time.
Her courage, too, cannot be questioned. During the July 2025 Saba Saba protests in Nairobi a movement driven largely by Gen Zs demanding accountability and reform Hon. Mbithe stood shoulder to shoulder with demonstrators. When chaos broke out, she was injured while bravely resisting a phone snatcher. Her swollen lip became symbolic of the sacrifices she’s willing to make for justice and for her people. Unlike many politicians who issue statements from the safety of their offices, she walks the talk literally.
At a time when many elected leaders in Kitui are wavering or defecting to the ruling coalition, Hon. Mbithe has remained loyal to the ideals and mission of the Wiper Democratic Movement and its leader, H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka. She led an online voter registration campaign through TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp, mobilizing the youth and reminding them that their voice matters. In a landscape full of political opportunism, her steadfast loyalty and digital activism show her as a new breed of leaderone with both vision and values.
But her advocacy doesn’t end with politics it reaches classrooms and schoolyards. On International Menstrual Hygiene Day, Hon. Mbithe stood before girls at Yatta Primary School to speak truth into their lives. She urged them to never feel shame about menstruation and reminded them that education is their power. That moment, among many, underscored her passion for girls’ dignity, youth mentorship, and access to opportunity. She’s not just a voice in Parliament waiting to be heard she’s already speaking, acting, and leading on the ground.
In every sense, Hon. Mary Mbithe Mulinge embodies the spirit of Kitui's next-generation leadership: courageous, compassionate, committed, and connected. Her story is not one of entitlement or privilege, but of purpose and people-centered service. She is not only ready to take up the mantle of Women Representative she has already proven that she belongs there.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, Kitui doesn’t just need a politician. It needs a protector, a mobilizer, a mentor, and a fighter. And in Hon. Mbithe Mulinge, Kitui has all of that in one.
