The incoming Kitui County Women Representative, Hon. Mary Mbithe Mulinge, has joined the nation and the world in mourning the passing of Kenya’s iconic opposition leader, Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Hon. Mulinge described Raila Odinga fondly known as "BABA" as a towering national figure whose courage, vision, and sacrifice helped shape Kenya’s democracy and political history.
“I join millions of Kenyans in mourning the passing of Ja Bondo, Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga a towering figure whose vision, courage, and sacrifice shaped our national story for decades. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” she said.

Later in the day, Hon. Mary Mbithe Mulinge paid a visit to the Odinga family home in Karen, where she personally condoled with Mama Ida Odinga, offering words of comfort to the bereaved family.
She expressed her deepest sympathies to Mama Ida and the entire Odinga family, recognizing the immeasurable contribution Raila made to the country and the personal sacrifices he endured in his pursuit of a better Kenya.
